Miami, among the 6 most sought after destinations by Argentines for Easter (according to Assist Card)
Easter is just around the corner and is the ideal occasion to rest and visit various tourist spots. Although in Argentina it is an event celebrated among family and friends, there are those who take the opportunity to take a trip, either inside or outside the country, where festive customs have their own appeal. The three international destinations most sought after by Argentines for this long weekend, are listed below.
According to the latest travel intention study conducted by Assist Card, the six international destinations most sought after by Argentines are: Brazil (Rio de Janeiro), Spain (Madrid) and the United States (Miami), followed by Chile (Santiago ), Mexico (Cancun) and Uruguay (Punta del Este).
Easter weekend in the United States
The large territory that the United States occupies causes a great diversity of traditions to exist throughout its territory. The recollection of Easter eggs, the celebration of the Black Christ or the living Via Crusis, representing the 14 seasons until reaching the cross are some of the most special.
Easter weekend in Brazil
Among the religious processions and traditions in this destination, the burning of Judas Tadeo stands out as a symbol of the end of Lent. As for the most popular traditions to celebrate Easter, there is the so-called “Secret Chocolate Friend” where people give each other chocolates anonymously, describe a person and the other participants have to guess who it is from.
Easter weekend in Spain
In Madrid, the entire city is preparing for the big event, from the bars and restaurants that adopt typical Easter dishes on their menus, the churches with their programming of sacred music concerts or the brotherhoods that, after the whole year preparation, parade in the various processions that run through the streets of the city.
For those who choose Argentinian destinations to rest and explore during the long weekend, the searches are led by Buenos Aires, followed by Bariloche and Mar del Plata. Likewise, searches for Córdoba, Mendoza and Salta increased notably.
