Once Upon a Kitchen: The world’s most exclusive epicurean experience returns to Miami for F1
An incredible culinary event comes to Miami as part of F1. Hosted by world-renowned chef, Massimo Bottura, and his team at Osteria Francescana, this year’s Once Upon a Kitchen is expected to be a culinary journey like no other, where iconic Italian cuisine will merge with Latino culture.
May will be a big month for motorsport lovers visiting Miami as the Formula 1® Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix will hold its second edition. As a consequence, other events and experiences will be present in the city.
Such is the case of GR8 Experience, the leading international agency that provides access to unique and unrepeatable experiences, which announces the return of the world’s most exclusive epicurean event, Once Upon a Kitchen, to Miami for the first time since 2019. The sensory dinner, started in 2017, offers guests an intimate evening with award-winning culinary masters from the world’s most exclusive restaurants.
Bottura will join forces with Juan Manuel Barrientos, one of the most revolutionary young chefs who is changing the face and perception of Latin American cuisine with his Michelin-starred restaurant El Cielo; and Chef Bernardo Paladini, head chef at the Michelin-starred restaurant Torno Subito in Dubai and soon Torno Subito Miami.
To enhance the trip, Dr. Alex Ott, famed master alchemist, molecular biologist, flavor scientist, author, and healer, will create a series of elixirs that will be served during the cocktail hour. Dr. Ott, who has developed more than 300 elixir shows around the world, including a revolutionary drink menu for Buddha Bar + Hotel, has worked with the Oscars, Emmys, VMAs, and even NASA/JPL, via the agency’s Space Food System Laboratory. Through nutritional biochemistry and olfactory neuroscience, he plans to create a truly immersive sensory experience for guests at this year’s Once Upon a Kitchen.
Closing out the evening, producer DJ Benny Benassi, who is behind huge hits like “Satisfaction” and “Beautiful People”, will perform during the after party, providing guests with upbeat beats until the early hours.
“Bringing together culinary masters like Massimo, Juan, Bernardo and Alex in one room, all doing what they do best for just one night, is the definition of a once-in-a-lifetime experience,” said Barnabas Carrega, CEO & Co. – Founder of GR8 Experiences. “In deciding where we wanted this rare collaboration with Massimo to take place, Miami was a natural decision,” he said. “With the city’s culinary scene exploding and F1 kicking off on May 7, fate and timing made a lot of sense,” added Carrega.
Once Upon a Kitchen will take place on May 5, 2023, from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. at The Deck at Island Gardens. The evening will consist of a cocktail hour, dinner and an after party. Tickets are U$S 6.000 per person and can be purchased here.
